Our company dates back to 1929 in Japan and in 1980 Yuken Europe Ltd. was founded. During this time Yuken: Hydraulic specialist has accumulated a wealth of practical and technical expertise and our enduring success lies in the fact that our history is filled with examples of how we have met and exceeded the needs of machine and system builders.

Yuken:hydraulic specialist also design and build new devices for customers on a bespoke basis.

Our Hydraulic products are used by original equipment manufacturers operating in a diverse variety of sectors including shipping, construction, subsea operations, chocolate-makers and contact lens manufacturing equipment.

The demanding requirements of those machine, system builders and hydraulic power pack, who need improved productivity, and performance to gain technical edges over their competition, means that we have built ourselves a reputation for quality and cutting edge innovation and design, developing a range of products which will enhance any system they are used in.

Our History

1929Uichi Yuki founded Yuki Mfg. Works, an automobile repair shop in Tokyo.
1940Succeeded in producing hydraulic honing machines. Succeeded in producing hydraulic vane pumps and various types of hydraulic control valves, building up s base as a manufacturer of hydraulic equipment.
1956Reorganized into Yuken Kogyo Co., Ltd. Capitall:¥6 million.
1960Built the Fujisawa factory.
1964Moved the head office to Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.
1969Founded Taiwan Hydraulics Mfg. Co., Ltd. (joint venture).
1970Opened the Research & Development Center and the Sagami factory in Kanagawa Prefecture (current Sagami factory).
1970Listed its stock on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Capital:¥1.2 billion.
1976Founded Yuken India Ltd. (joint venture).
1978Founded Yuken Kogyo (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.
1979Founded Hokuriku Yuken Co., Ltd. (sales company).
1980Founded Yuken (U.K.) Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
1987Founded Yuken Service.Co., Ltd.
2001Founded Yuken Hydraulic (Dongguang) Co., Ltd. in China.
2004Moved the head office to the Sagami plant. Integrated the Fujisawa factory into the Sagami plant. Built a new factory in Sagami (Head Office and Sagami Plant).
2006Founded Yuken Hydraulics (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd. in China.
2007Founded Yuken Korea Co., Ltd.
2010Founded Yuken Kgyo (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
2012Founded YUKEN SEA CO., LTD. in Thailand.
2013Founded Yuken Kogyo (Foshan) Co., Ltd.
